Hi,

I'm thinking of adding an SSD to my existing configuration but at the moment I have quite a sockets plugging into sockets plugging into sockets if you know what I mean. My specs are

450W PSU (CIT 450UB)
Gigabyte Z68A-D3-B3 m/b
Intel Core i5 2500k 3.3GHz cpu
8gb ram
Gainward nVidia GTS 450
2 x 1TB HDD
1 x 500GB HDD
DVD ROM
5 case fans running from psu
corsair hydro cooler running from m/b

Do I need a better psu or can I just add an SSD?

CIT PSU's aren't known for their reliability. As you have fairly decent components in your machine I would consider upgrading to a better branded PSU as a matter of course. It's up to you though if you want to risk it.

Normally I buy components based on name and the manufacturers website. I guess I bought this PSU on price as I can't even find the receipt for it.

Any PSU's you recommend? I've been looking at the OCZ fatal1ty series, is that a good one to go for?

OCZ make very good PSUs. I have used several in my builds and not one issue :) The price is great to.
