Morning guys.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on my current situation.

It was recently decided after a major structural reshuffle at work that I would look after the IT at the local community center I work at some evenings.

It was basically setup with a switch, home router and 6 client pc's which were pretty bad tbh and so there needs to be some major hardware changes and security policies endorsed.

Now as I currently work there as a Duty Officer in the evenings and with the new role included, do I need to have a seperate contract drawn up?

I understand that for Data Protection I will need something in writing but not entirely sure whether it can be included in my current contract of employment with them.

Thanks. :)

Even if you dont need one, I'd request one drawn up just to cover your butt if something goes wrong. Can never be to careful these days right?

Too true!!

The place has basically been taken back by Dorset Council due to financial problems and so I need to get this done by the book.
