Just about to order....

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-E DDR2 / DDR3 ATX Motherboard

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.60GHz 'Conroe' 1MB Cache LGA775 (800 Mhz) - Retail

Will I need to use thermal paste to attach it. I've only ever installed some memory and a HD so this will be my first time. Also is that CPU a Core 2 Duo? Its only a temp CPU for now.

No, the retail heatsink will come with paste pre-applied and yes, it is a C2D.
