no not really theres not much init the 4890 is slightly better than the GTX 280 and the 4870 alightly worse:D wait for the DX 11 cards to come out at the end of the year it will be the ATi 5XXX series cards:D

probably not. I would have thought a 280 is faster than a 4870 and a bout on a par with a stock 4890.

Need bit of advice ive sold my GTX 280 for £200 today im looking at either the 4870 1gb or the 4890 1gb is the 4890 that much beter to spend a extra £40? also if so is the asus worth a extra £5 with the voltage tweak or shall i get the free Haux game with the XFX?

Wouldnt touch 512 cards at 1080p.

Tbh wouldve kept the gtx 280, save up more and get a gtx285.
4870 is a downgrade and a 4890 is most likely on par with your gtx280.

i made £200 on the GTX so i will make a bit of a profit i just want to know if the 4890 is that much better than the 4870

ok so the 4890 it is then now my next question lol, is it worth getting the asus with the voltage tweak over the XFX model that comes with 2 free games 1 being a decent game

I'd wait for some other responses on your last question but me...I'd get the Asus one. Whatever one you get its going to go like a rocket.

your seriously going from a 280 to a 4890?

Unless you are getting more for the 280 than you are buying the 4890 at i can't see how it is worth it.
