Will I see a difference between these cards?

Hey all, I'm looking to get a new (to me) card for my system, and Im after some advice.

At the mo I have a Sapphire Tri-x r9 290
I have about £300 to spend and have seen in the MM I can get a 980ti for that price.

Will there be much improvement on my old card with that?
