Why do you want to from a x1900xt to a x1950pro ???

Because I'm still undecided if I want a 800 or not... all this talk about Nvidia not supporting them etc.
The games I wanna play comes out in 3 months (ET:QW) and later (Crysis and UT3) so there is no real need for a very beefy card at the moment (only play UT04 really)
My current 1900xt is the loudest card you could ever imagine, and I hate it. It literally sounds like an aeroplane taking off, and im sick of it... hence wanting to jump to the Pro, just for now :)

ps: im on a shuttle SD37p2 ... and might as well then use the extra PCI-e slot while i wait for a better card

My last card was the x1900xt-x that was even louder then the x1900xt...Plus am using a shuttle sn26p case....

My 8800gtx i have now is silent and runs much cooler...

If you want to save power then a 7900GT offers similar performance but consumes much less power. Even though the same generation ATI cards are better in many areas the nvidia cards are much more efficient in terms of power consumption vs performance.

ahh if its about the noise then I would get the Zalman or if you have good caseflow the THermalright...however I don't think it comes with Ramsinks which IMO are a must.

Or you could always go water ;)

Ah does the Zalman 900 come with RAM heatsinks? I was going to buy the zalman heatsinks seperately.
