As above, but at that resolution it wont be worth worrying about.

ps: im on a shuttle SD37p2 ... and might as well then use the extra PCI-e slot while i wait for a better card

My last card was the x1900xt-x that was even louder then the x1900xt...Plus am using a shuttle sn26p case....
My 8800gtx i have now is silent and runs much cooler...

If you want to save power then a 7900GT offers similar performance but consumes much less power. Even though the same generation ATI cards are better in many areas the nvidia cards are much more efficient in terms of power consumption vs performance.

Not about the power really, it's literally that this card sounds like a Hoover on a cocktail of extacy, speed AND acid (... just added acid for dramatic flair )
Maybe another alternative, is to get a 3rd party cooler?
