How will a i7 3820 (4 core 10mb cache 3.60GHz) a nvidia gtx 680 2gb and 8gb ram

This is for gaming btw, and will be playing at med/high settings on all games

This setup will easily destroy anything, especially with the 680 and the 3820. However you could just have got a 2500k and OC'ed it to 4.4Ghz+ and will outperform the 3820 with it costing less money.

Would cope fine, but is there any reason you want the i7?

If it's just for gaming i'd get a 2500k/3570k instead.

They are components that are already in a system im thinking of getting, not interested in overclocking anything though as i have no experience and ill probably overheat them if i try it

Well it should be fine but I would still suggest getting another processor such as the i7 2700k because it uses less power and you will still get the same performance.
