ok youve probably seen a few threads like this before but do you belive this rig will do 3ghz. now i know it depends on the chip aswell as every does not clock the same. but do you beleive if i pick up a decent chip i can ht 3ghz with this setup. i will be updating ram in near future but i am getting 1gb for now.

i dont think its a bad proce either for 350dead

yup, with an FSB of 450 ( which is easy on the DS3 ) , a 1:1 memory ratio ( multiplier = 2.00 ) and timings of 4-4-4-12 , which your memory should be able to do since its rated as CAS4 for 800 MHz ( it would be running at 900MHz with FSB=450)

that would get you 3.15GHz and with that cooler, should be fine. leave CPU voltage = 1.325 in bios if not one or 2 steps down.

have DDR voltage set to +0.3V in bios also.

Once thats proved stable start incrementing the FSB
