Will it fit?

Going to be ordering my new PC today, but while thinking about it, I thought, will my graphics card actualy fit?

So can anyone with an Antec 900-2 case tell me if a Gainward Nvidia GTX 260 will fit in the case? It's 10.5" long.

If it doesn't fit or is pretty tight fit, think I'll go with the Thermaltake Armor instead.

AFAIK it will fit but will render a couple of the 3.5" bays useless. The Antec cases aren't great for space. Have a look at the Silverstone Fortress.

I second the motion. Big thumbs up for the Fortress - it can fit a 10.5" card with the drive bays in place, and if you remove the top bay you can get a 12" card in there.

Use shoehorn for getting it in. :p
Just don't expect 5.25" bays at same level to be usable:

Only Antec really big enough for longest graphics cards is P190/193.

Tt Armor might be large but after that there aren't much good things in it.

While Silverstone fares better and doesn't need use of shoehorn for every high end card it's still small mid tower and fails to house longest up to date graphics card without removing half of the HDD capacity: (cage is so cramped that I wouldn't recommend more than two drives in single cage)

Similarly priced Lian Li A70 takes up to 13.5" long cards so with that you wouldn't have to be worried about fitting any card because that long card being made is very improbable because it would have run out of space long before that in standard cases.

I wouldn't say the fortress was a small mid tower, its quite a reasonable size. Also what cards are longer than 10.5"? My GTX 280 fits perfectly fine. Why would you not recommend more than 2 drives in 1 cage? That makes no sense at all. It can hold a bigger card and still 3 HDD's fine, if you wanted more drives just add one of those Lian Li 3 drive bays with fan into the front.

The PC-A71 is a nice case but its also huge, not everyone has room for a case that big.

For housing large cards an akasa eclipse is a very good case, i have a gtx 280 with 4 hdd's in the bottom drive bays, and plenty of room between the card and the drives.
