i am soon building a pc but im not sure if the optical drive from my current pc would work, i wanted to add a picture but im not sure how to do it. can someone tell me a way of getting pictures onto the forum ?

Optical drives are built to standard 5.25" form factors.

Unless it's a proprietary drive you are planning to use or it's going into a non-standard case then it will be fine.

It most likely will fit, but add and image upload it to somewhere like photo bucket and add the link with the

Found the link in your original post. You did it right but you linked the web page and not the .jpg full picture URL.

As for resize - Just downloaded it, resized in Photoshop and re-uploaded.

Please note - Check if it is an IDE or SATA connection drive.

It will physically fit in a new case but modern motherboards no longer have IDE headers, if it's an IDE drive you are stuffed and will need a SATA one
