Hi,
I've just ordered the Overclocked Bundle ** Abit IP35 Pro Motherboard / Intel Q6600 Quad Core @ 3.3Ghz / 2GB (2x1GB) OCZ PC-8500 RAM / Tuniq Tower CPU Cooler to upgrade from my current s939 AMD dual core 4400.

As tubes would say from soccer am I have one question and one question only
'When the package arrives and I've installed it all, can I go straight for the overclock?'

Thanks to those who reply ;)

Let me be more specific, I know this is a 2.4ghz cpu. It should be guarenteed to 3.3ghz as long as I follow the recommended settings. Can I do this straight away or should I run the thing in first at it's normal 2.4ghz?

Bang it straight at 3.3

The bundle comes with detailed instructions on how to assemble and overclock the bundle yourself. As Ocuk put it, Learn the dark art of overclocking with a safe, guaranteed overclock!!. Yes you can overclock it straight away.

Apologies, I've now read the reviews in full and know this can be overclocked straight out of the box. Looking forward to seeing how this performs compared to my current 2.4ghz dual core amd. Thanks for your replies.

You might not even need more volts at 3.3Ghz, my Q6600 can do passed 3.0Ghz at stock volts. Just throw it straight up. Aim for at least 3.5Ghz most of them will do that.

Check out the motherboard pins before you do anything I have problems with Bent pins but hope to get them repaired at Abit.

If you have take pictures dont use or touch the other stuff...
