Will just a GPU upgrade be enough?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a little advice on a possible upgrade to my set up. I built my current PC in late 2011 with the help of people on this forum. My main specs are :

Intel 2500k (stock speed)
8GB Ram
Geforce 570GTX
Win 7
Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 Mobo

this was a great build and has lasted me well but is now starting to show signs of becoming dated. Having just bought BF4 I'm having to put a lot of settings down to medium, turn some FX off, and still 60fps is not quite garunteed.

I have a PS4 on pre-order but instead have decided to likely spend that money on upgrading my PC. Basically I'm wondering if buying myself a new graphics card in the £200-250 mark would be enough. I know my 2500k is quite old now but I gather it overclocks really well, so shall I stick with that CPU and just overclock it? Or am I better off to just go for a new CPU entirely?

I just wonder if I was to fork out for a nice graphics card would the rest of my parts be holding it back? I'm not looking to spend out on a complete overhaul - but at the same time I don't want to spend out on a new GRX card if that alone wont prove to be enough.

Any help would be great!

The 2500k is still a excellent cpu. Get it clocked or ban!! :D:p:D

A new graphics card would give you a decent boost. There are some cracking deals to be had on 7950 and 7970 cards at the moment.

Thanks for the swift replies! That deal on the GPU looks great I must say. I don't mind spending out a little more on a card if it was noticably better than the above 7950, or would it not really be overly worth it?
