Hello,

I currently have 6gb (3x2gb) patriot viper pc3-12800 - 8 8 8 24 but it's discontinued so i can't add same ram.

If i add another 12gb (3x4gb) at 9 9 9 24 will it make the pc more unstable, or is it ok to mix them?

Thanks

it is fine to mix them just check the stability @ 8-8-8-24 as you may have to slacken timings to the lesser specced ram so 9-9-9-24

This.
I run 3x1Gb and 3x2Gb in mine and it's fully stable @1650MHz so long as i set all timings to 8,8,8,24 1T

Have a tinker, should run fine with the larger modules but as Cupra has said, you may have to loosen the timings to 9,9,9,24 due to the chips being denser.
