im thinking of upgrading to a 24'' monitor and was wondering if my 4870 512mb would still be running recent games on full/near full settings (thinking of Far Cry 2, GRID, CoD 5, Left4Dead, Dead Space, PoP, Fallout 3) ?

It'll be more than enough to run those games with maxed video settings and lots of AA and AF. 1920x1200 isn't such a demanding resolution these days.

I've got 2 4850s, and even with crossfire off I can play those games at max settings. Well, I don't know about PoP since I don't have it. :)
 
dont know about all of those games but my 3870 can run Grid maxed and crysis on high at that res so you should be fine.

Crysis on high at 1920x on the 3870 and you run it? What all the settings on high and it's playable? :eek:
