Will my components be compatible?

Hi, I'm looking for some advice (first post)

I'm starting my first PC build. I'm aiming for a fairly modest but future proof build. To start I've just purchased the "Z77 Gamer PRO Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50GHz @ 4.40GHz DDR3 Ivybridge Overclocked Bundle" from here.

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50GHz @ 4.40GHz Quad Core CPU
  • Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
  • RAM: Patriot Intel Extreme Masters 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel
  • Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems CPU Cooler - Black w/x2 120MM Zaward Golf III Fans
I'm now pulling together my shopping list for the rest (I need everything except mouse/keyboard/monitor). BTW I only use a single monitor so super 3 screen perfromance is not required. I have Win 7 Professional 64 bit.

So far, I've picked the following, but I'm unsure if they will be compatible (i.e will the cooller fit in the case?), have I over/under spec'd somthing that will kill my system and have I forgotten something? Like cables or trays for HDDs??

  • EVGA GeForce GTX 660TI 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
  • Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750M High Performance 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply
  • Corsair Force Series 3 120GB SATA 2.5" 6Gb/s Solid State Drive
  • Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM HDD
  • Cooler Master Silencio 550 Silent Tower Case - Black
  • OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black)

I'm really looking forward to doing this, never had the nerve to build a pc before and now I think I'm going to get the bug. Next stop Quad SLI, 3D monitor water cooled baby!!!!

Any friendly advice welcome!!

Hmmm thanks for spotting that. Your right doesn't sound ideal, won't cool very well if covered in foam.
To be honest I found finding the case the hardest. I wanted a plane, sleek look. Not fussed with lights or windows. But still good spec. Are there any alternatives of a similar spec you can suggest? Also, how do you know if you will have enough cooling or fans for the job? Do you need special tools to measure the temps internal to case during operation?
