i'm looking into getting a new TFT 19', hopefully an Acer AL1916W but will my Gcard cope ok at a higer res? not sure what the majority of people who have these screens run them at. i'll be using it for gaming and watching DVDs. i have read through the stickys and i'm none the wiser :(
any pointers would be great :)

thanks

Edit:
Shame they don't do this screen in black rather than silver

the res is 1440x900 which is less than 1280x1024 so if the card runs ok a 1280x1024 it should be ok at a lower res ie 1440x900 the default res of the acer al1916w

Ive got 2x6600gt's in SLI, which is roughly equivalent to 1 6800gt, and I can run most games ok at that sort of res. I can play Far Cry at way higher res than that(ive got a dell 2405), Half Life2 runs fine on that res and I can just about run Oblivion at 1024x768, so you might be lucky and run that at native res.

I got an Acer AL1916W with an AGP 6800XT, unlocked to 5p, and 6v. Its running Half life 2 at 1440x900 with most of the eye candy enabled (no aa, and 2xaf) at 110fps. So welll aboce the 60hertz the monitor can cope with.
