^^^ is the card i've got. i was hoping that as it's got 3 connections (hdmi, dvi, vga) that i could connect 3 monitors but windows isn't letting me. it keeps disabling the other monitor when i enable one.

if it doesn't is there anything i can do to add a third monitor? really don't want to buy another gpu as this was only bought in march plus i plan to upgrade the pc some time end of this year for skyrim fun

so will it be easier to just buy another gpu? will i need to exact same one? will i need anything else? from what i can remember this is call crossfire?

3 monitors is for work only, browser, emails, notepad, maybe small video, etc. if game playing (which haven't done on pc since i can remember) i'd disable the other monitors

ok i got a 1920 x 1200 via dvi right now which is my main monitor, then i got 2 1680 x 1050 monitors. only 1 is attached by vga atm and the other can be connected by however doesn't really matter.

nothing as i'm too poor i just had to buy another GPU when already low on money. you can reward me though if you're right :D

thanks though just bought it so hopefully will be up and running in a couple days

edit: just realised will my psu run this fine? it's 450w.

ok just received the card i mentioned a few posts up. i was expecting to simply plug it into the second slot and away i go but it's of course not that simple. when the new card is also plugged in the system wont even boot just stuck making a noise from the CD drive every 10 or so seconds some reason.

i've tried just the new card in the main slot and it woked fine installed drivers etc.

i've read the manual for my motherboard and it doesn't mention 2 cards from different companies working, only crossfire.

am i doing something wrong? i can't figure out what else i could do.

not found anything for which display to intialise first though will look. only ever found something about detection as either auto, double card, or single card. i've tried first 2 no difference may try the single option with both cards just to see what it'll do

trouble is it wont even go to bios with the second card inserted

will try the ati in the second slot though i don't think it'll fit as the heatsink goes round the back and there is little to no room with cables etc plugged in the way. will try though.

is there any way to check if the psu will handle both? the psu was bought from ocuk I can find invoice for which it is and link to it.
