Windows 7 - 32 bit
ATI 5670 (512MB)
2GB DDR2 RAM
1.86ghz intel Duo Core processor

I feel the cpu may be letting me down. I've had a look at the requirements and it seems I'm falling a little short.

I'm not looking for fantastic results here guys, just something playable. Is asking for 30fps on my system too much?

If it helps I can run Fallout NV smoothly although I'm quite aware of the graphic differences.:p

hi here is the specs from the official site

Minimum Specs
•Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
•Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
•2GB System RAM
•6GB free HDD Space
•Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
•DirectX compatible sound card
•Internet access for Steam activation

Recommended Specs
•Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
•Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
•4GB System RAM
•6GB free HDD space
•DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher (i.e GTX550Ti); ATI Radeon 4890 or higher).
•DirectX compatible sound card
•Internet access for Steam activation

looks as if you might need to upgrade a bit but you might want to give it a try and see what happens

by the looks of things you should be able to run it on its lowest settings. what it will look like i really dont know, but it should run smoothly

Your system doesnt meet the minimum requirement of CPU speed. I suppose an overclock here might help things. You'd still suffer a bit with just 2GB of RAM though, so you'd expect a lot of page file use and slow loading. Your GPU is a fair bit slower than a 4890 in the recommended specs. I dont really get the minimum spec of card as it could be basically refer to even a HTPC card could run it.

I think fallout is a very different fame in terms of demand. That said I haven't tried Skyrim but would say it looks very nice, but then so did Oblivion and that ran on a wide range of hardware.

i have it running on my sig rig, obviously not optimal but runs fine with decent fps.

apparantly its in hd and gfx setting on high, but i hve a feeling a lot of cool features have been left out.

for one thing i was toally blow away with the quality when i saw the trailer, playing it on my comp is just meh, maybe im seeing it without the fancy settings or i got used to the gfx and was just overawed initially

Basically I'm looking at a cpu and ram upgrade to even run this then? Awesome!

Perhaps worth it to play other games you have in better quality as well (e.g. if you have Mass Effect)? I'm sure if you asked, someone can find relatively inexpensive options for you.

I'm basically sitting on the same spec, but on a laptop. Fortunately, CPU is Dual Core 2.8GHz and RAM is 4GB (all well and good so far), but the cooling on it is rubbish! Any sign of heat while playing a game and the system turns itself off - very frustrating!
