Will my Mac read this drive?

Just got a new iMac

I've pulled out my HDD from my old pc and put it into a HDD enclosure, when I plus it into my mac will it read it ok? Or will it want to format it? I've got some pretty important stuff on there

If it's NTFS then your Mac wont be able to right to it, but it can read it fine. If it's FAT32 then OS X can read and write to it.

What format is it? If its FAT32 it will read/write. If its NTFS it will read only.

Not 100% sure how Leopard will react to an external drive but I doubt it will automatically format it. It will prompt you at the very least.

Its NTFS, I plugged it in and Leopard chucked it on the desktop before I knew it. Its copying across as we speak, rather fast I might add

I think third party software is available to write to NTFS on macs rather than just read

Not tried this myself but seems to do the job.
