Will my mobo take this?

Yip this says yes too.

Tho being the 650i chipset it won't run more than two sticks at 800mhz or above.

All four sticks will be able to run at 667mhz or a little above it.

Four sticks at 800mhz is a no-no in 650i boards.

But you can unlink your memory and run it slower than the FSB, so four sticks won't limit your CPU overclock.

I wouldn't worry about it. AMD users have been doing it for years.

Tho the Intels do take a bigger hit when running the memory slower than the FSB. But it's nothing major. Just tighten the timings.

Thanks again, im reconsidering :)

How come the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe is cheaper than the Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 "LGA775 Conroe chip when the latter is quicker?

Once again chers for the help, im out of touch with the cpu thing...

The E6420 is the older stepping, and they, along with the E6320 and E6600, were excluded from the price drops last week.

The new E6550, E6750 and E6850 chips were released at the low price to squeeze the hell out of AMD.
