Ok considering buying either a PS3 or 360. I dont intend on buying a new TV just yet but have a HP w2207h monitor that comes with HDMI. Will this be able to display both of them at them at 720p and 1080i/p? Also i dont want to use the speakers on this monitor as they are pants and will likely use a headset of some sorts. Whats the easiest way of doing this? Does either of them support this or will i need a set of speakers and a headset port?

Does it have HDCP? If not I *think* you will be unable to play Blu-Ray films back, but the consoles should output fine at 720P/1080i and 1080P if your monitor is of 1920x1200 resolution.

You may have a slightly stretched image unless your monitor enables borders as 1080P/720P are 16:9 where as PC monitors 20/22/24" are 16:10.

22" monitor will only be able to support 720p max unfortunately. It will also have to be HDCP compliant if you want to use HDMI. But its more than likely that it is as its just stupid not implementing it on HDMI devices as literately all HD sources are encrypted!

Every display device that has an HDMI input will support HDCP .....

As there not allowed to fit an HDMI input on a display device that does not support HDCP....
