Will my Motherboard work with

Upgrading my pc after a long time
im going to do it bit by bit
so just wondering if anyone would know if my mother board would support an I5 6600K

My motherboard i currently have is Z77-D3H - im guessing no but thought id double check before i go an buy things

Nope, Z77-D3H is a LGA1155 Socket and the i5-6600k uses LGA1151 unfortunately. You'll need a new Motherboard & RAM as it will require DDR4.

Nope, you need a socket 1151 motherboard, yours is a socket 1155.

You are limited to 2XXX and 3XXX socket 1155 CPUs. These can not be found new and you will need to buy a second hand chip from someone you find online. Check forums buy/sell sections to track one down. Best chip you can get for that board is a 3770K.
