Will my old 32bit XP software work in win7 64bit?

Bit of a basic question - but - just wondering if my old 32bit XP software will work if I upgrade to win7 64bit?

If this is OK - then my next question is - is there a way of transferring all my programmes from the old HDD onto the new HDD without reinstalling them - really can't face reinstalling everything again!

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Maybe - some software will work, some wont as Windows 7 is substantially different to XP. There is compatability mode, which may help in some cases.

They'll work fine, don't worry! Leave XP in 2001 and join the times with Windows 7.
