Will my PSU be man enough ?

Hi

I will be getting a 4870 x2 next month, although i havent seen any power requirements yet on this card im wondering whether my OCZ Stealthstream 600w will be man enough ? See my sig for current setup

I wouldn't have thought it would prove to be a problem overall. However if your PSU is old then that might make it an issue since PSUs get less efficient with age.

keep in mind you'll need 4 x pci-e power connectors for it.

Ah thats something i didnt realise!

Any idea if it will be 4 x 6 pin or 2 x 8 pin 2x 6 pin etc ?

Probably 2 x 6 pin and 2 x 8 pin. But the cards generally come with Molex to 8 pin converters I think. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Maybe i should bite the bullet and pick up an enermax galaxy 1000 while i still have sum cash.

I have the same GPU and run a 8800GTS off of it without any problems so cant see much of a problem

The 4870 x2 will use more power than one 8800gts and i don't think he has enough of the right connectors anyway.

I had the same psu and i didn't rate it (blew up 2 weeks out of warranty).

Me personally, i would get another PSU.
