• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Will my psu be up to the task?

I think the minimum recommended is 500 watts, so you should be ok. The brand is a good one, which is a bonus.

This is a refurb product and though the card is slightly more powerful at stock, when overclocked it should pull ahead substantially more. However, it won't be as power efficient or as cool and quiet as your original choice :

A similar model here, though this has a 'full' warranty. A fair bit over budget however :

Re : the 6870 v 470, I think it all depends what your after. For some, power draw, noise and cooling are worth more than a few % difference in stock performance. It doesn't help when I say that plenty of both 6870 and 470 owners are happy with their purchases. You'll have to decide what your priorities are here. :)

It's a good price for what is a higher end card. Bottom line, you can always return it under DSR. I hope whatever you buy suits your needs. Enjoy. :)

also a lil tip with DSR + refurbs, even if the cards good after 5-6 days still tell them you want to DSR it.. your allowed 30 days to get it back to the retailer so if your not happy with it in those 30 days send it back, if your happy keep it, it just gives you more time to make sure its ok :)
