Hi all

just a quick question if I was to upgrade my mother board and procceser,

currently running
Motherboard Name ECS 648FX-A AGP
CPU Type INTEL Pentium 4, 3000 MHz 478 SOCKET
160gb hard drive
2g corsair ram
5200fx graphics card

To
Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe nForce4 SLi X16 (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-118-AS)
&
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - Retail (ADA4400CDBOX) (CP-127-AM)

Would i be able to use my current window restore cd?

If not please could some one spec my a upgrade, I only play games (bf2), I dont need any ram as i currently have a decent 2gb corsair matching pair.

Thanks in advance for your help.

thanks for the ""

it will work but you will have problems, its always recommeneded to re-install winXP when u change the motherboard anyway

Nothing wrong with the spec of your new kit, but you would be lucky to get Windows to load if you put the old restore image back - it will likely lockup while loading some of the now irrelevant device drivers. You could try a 'repair install' after restoring the disk image, but you be leaving a lot of old files on the machine. Better to do a fresh install if poss.
