I like OCUK, I visit here a couple of times a day if I can. I usually don't have much to say but chip in wherever possible.

I'm spec-ing a new PC (Spec check thread coming soon ;)) but have found that the total cost at a competitors website is about £50 cheaper on about £500 worth of kit. I'd rather support this place and spend my money here but £50 is quite a bit of money.....so I'm wondering would they price match?

I'm just asking, not wanting to start a flame war etc - please don't hurt me - lol

Thanks
RC

Beaten on the quote-age.

You're paying for the excellent service and friendly staff.

And petrol for Mustangs and stuff :p

if something is being sold somewhere else for a HIGHER cost then ocuk will probably increase thier price to match that :p

doubt thats any good to you though :p:p

Lol just buy else where if you can get it cheaper, they will eventualy have to put prices down once all the forum members have used google a few times. No point posting here it will just get deleted. If OCUK price matched thed have to revamp all their stock prices :P

I gues if you say im either gona buy it at a lower price or buy it else where they would be silly to say no as they will still make a profit if they sell it to you for like 10 quid less (depending on what it is of corse)

I'd just buy it elsewhere after all the internet is my mistress and I treat them rough /looks over shoulder to make sure the wifes not reading this :)

It's a real pity that they don't price match. I usually find that they're the lowest priced for the very top end parts, but for most of the stuff I want, once you add the £8 for delivery they're that little bit too expensive for me. It's a pity really since I prefer to be loyal to one comopany.

When I bought my new system a couple of weeks ago i was asking the same question about price matching.

I have to say though with OCUK i guess you pay for the service and more:p, as I saved bout 30 quid on the 4GB corsair ram, 20 quid on the mobo and 18 quid on the processor else where.

EDIT:
But did get the rest from OCUK.

If OcUK were to price match we would all cain their stock and they would always be under supplied :P

I think a lot of the time they have a higher price so that they don't sell out so quick.
