Hi Guys, thinking of getting a 4870x2 and watercooling it in my loop, but im not sure if a PA120.3 will be able to kool a heavy clocked cpu, northbridge and two gpu?

Any ideas?

Cheers Dom

yes it will definitely handle it, you might just have to have the fans on to a point where they're audible.

I have a PA120.3 with my 8800GTX, NB, SB, Mosfets and RAM in one loop (got the CPU on its own in another 120.3) and both loops are passive, no fans. So I can't see why with moderate fans you couldn't have the load you suggested.

Even gaming you are unlikely to manage 100% load on it all anyway.

If you're concerned try and get your fan arrangement to push/pull (ie fans on both sides) that really will seal the fact it will cope.

Just put two gpu water blocks on it and some ramsinks. Much cheaper although not as neat and more hassle.

Mate, i recently did this and reported back on that other forum we both frequent :D - and it didn't go down well. Whilst my GPU is nice and cool at around 40 degrees full load, my ram gets upwards of 120 degrees

I'm currently looking for a full cover.

RE: OP, i would separate them out if your going for maxium performance. I speced out a PA120.2, DDC12v GPU loop for £100 second hand :)
