Will replacing a 7200RPM laptop HDD with an SSD improve battery life?

So my laptop is getting a little long in the tooth now and while it is still reasonably quick for what I do with it, it could definitely benefit from having an SSD fitted to improve boot time etcetera, and I have a 120GB Agility kicking about that can go in it.

The battery life is pretty terrible, with the standard battery it lasts under 2.5 hours, and even with an extended life battery it is under 3.5 hours while in power saving mode.

So will having an SSD rather than a rotary HDD increase the battery life at all? And would it be noticeable? I am expecting a "no, not really" but I thought I may as well ask :)

You may see a slight improvement on battery life some report up to 50 mins extra on battery depending on screen brightness, wifi settings (bluetooth on, gps on etc), if browsing the web then you should see and increase, watching films may also see some extra run time, however don't quote me, the internet is full of conflicting information l am afraid.
