Will Sega ever release another console?

I bought one for £14 last week. It's the oldest more collectible Master System Power base 1 with Hang on and Safari hunt. :o :D I also managed to buy two light phasers and even one of the ultra rare games for the card slot called My Hero.

I've been buying a few games for 99p each the most expensive game I bought for it was Sonic Chaos which normally costs £4.99 but I got it with a buy one get one free deal so it cost a little less.

The real problem with Sega was marketing their product and signing 3rd party developers. On the otherhand Sony is the master of marketing and working with 3rd party businesses. If you look at Nintendo during the same period 1994-2002 they were basically in the same boat as Sega when it came to marketing and signing 3rd part developers. Nintendo's turning point was with pokemon and continued success in the handheld gaming.

Since then Nintendo have re-invented themselfs with the DS and now Wii, it almost seems Nintendo looked towards Apple's design and marketing approach (personal opinion)
Nintendo still continue to lack 3rd party support compared to Sony & Microsoft.

I think the real reason why the Dreamcast failed because;

1. No DVD player
2. Sony Playstation was backwards compatible with PSone
3. Software Piracy (easies console EVER to play pirate copy games)

nah, piracy made it sell better in fact. as soon as people realised you could play pirated games really easily, the sales picked up (was working in game at the time and saw it first hand). It was too little too late unfortunately.

Sega were selling the Dreamcast on loss, the software sales would have helped to regain lost profit but it didn't. I think the only company that sells their console on profit/least amound of loss is Nintendo.

I hope Sony go bankrupt! :D just can't stand people who thinks any product with Sony label is better then rest. The general public are brainwashed by their marketing powers!

Couple of years ago, I built a computer for my friends friend who was Romanian dude. His budget was £600, so I ordered all the parts from oCuK and built him pretty good computer. He came and collected his computer and then asked me what brand it was. I told him it was made by many different brands such as Antec, Asus, Pioneer, Western Digital etc but he kept going on about if it was made by Sony!
After 2 weeks later he asked me to find a buyer because he wanted Sony branded computer! :mad: :mad:

A PC with a Sony label on it will likely have nothing made by Sony in it. lol Open anything by Sony and you'll find all the parts are made by someone else. :D
