I'm getting a little tired of my 5 year old wanting (demanding :p) to have my phone for Pokemon Go when we are out and about!

I've got a spare Android phone but obviously don't want to get a SIM card simply for the game so I'm wondering whether setting up a mobile hotspot on my phone and linking the other phone to it work OK?

Obviously I know it will share the internet connectivity but will it also recognise the GPS element (ie. see that we are walking around) - or would I be better setting up a bluetooth hotspot?

Yeah it will work. I had my friend almost constantly tethering off my phone on holiday last year so he could play Pokemon (he claimed his dim didn't offer a roaming bolt on) :p

I use an old iphone 5 for any apps I need that aren't available on Windows Mobile (Paypal Here for the odd work trip), so conveniently it's also my Pokemon Go Phone. Windows Phone activates wireless hotspot and iphone connects to it for data, using its own GPS.
