Will STEAM run under Windows 8?

Can anyone confirm that STEAM is OK under Windows 8.

Anyone had any problems?

Run OK but thrashes the disk like crazy first time you run it (did this on both Preview version and Pro version). To be fair my games disk is heavily fragmented and has a few hundred games installed, but it took quite a while to sort itself out, at least an hour I'd say and kept doing some sort of weird update on loads of games (putting them in the download list as ready to play).

Of course it runs on Win 8. Everything that runs on 7 runs on 8.

8 has also fixed crashing i had with a Steam game mod that affected all Win 7 users.

Not all, some Steam games don't work on Windows 8. Still trying to get my Super Street Fighter AE to work

I've not yet got any GFWL games working on windows 8. Have left them downloading again in hopes this will work.

I appear to have my GFWL games working, all I did was download the GFWL client.

Just a note. I had steam and my system working perfectly in w7. I did the upgrade to w8 and steam kept crashing. After a fresh install all is perfect now.

All my GFWL games work on Windows 8 apart from SSFAE. Tried a number of fixes but still no go.
