Will the Core i9-9900K work in my MSI GT73VR?

Just weighing up the pros and cons of an upgrade. Rather than investing in a new laptop I'm thinking I would like to keep this but just give it a bit of a boost in the cpu department. But I'm not clear if the
Core i9-9900K 3.6GHz (Coffee Lake) Socket LGA1151 will work in replacement of the Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6820HK CPU @ 2.70GHz I've already got in there.

If so, would the upgrade be worth while?

Is that what the HK/K represents? Been out of the loop a looooong time.

Okay, so one letter represents an unlocked cpu.

So the question is, what would be a good cpu upgrade?
