Hi,

Im building a new quad core system on a Gigabyte GA_P35T_DQ6 but does this mobo handle DDR2 memory as well as DD3? or is it just for DDR3?

Many thanks
Ian

DDR3 only.
If you want DDR2 & DDR3 slots then both Asus & Gigabyte (P35C-series) make boards.

Well if you want both DDR2 & DDR3 support then you have little choice.
Personally when I made the move to a P35 chipset I decided not to even think about DDR3 support.
By the time DDR3 is cheap enough, fast enough and required I'd be looking for a new motherboard anyway.

Thanks stoofa i agree with you. I've decided to go with a Gigabyte DQ6 DDR2 board with Black Dragon RAM

I've got the exact same board, however I'm running it with 4x 1GB DDR2-1066 Crucial Ballistix.
It is a nice board.
