Will the horns ruin the World Cup?

I found it difficult to watch the ACN without muting the TV. I hope the WC won't be the same, but fear the worst.
 
You know. I wouldn't mind so much if it was at crucial moments in the game, if it was celebratory etc, but it's just a constant annoying noise which has no bearing on what's happening in the game :(
 
The horns are called 'vuvuzelas' according to MOTD on facebook.

Yeah, invented a decade or so ago. As folk have said if they were sounded at specific parts of the game, to celebrate for example then I think everyone could live with it. It's just a constant din which means no relation to what's going on on the park though. They actually tend to stop the noise when a team is on the verge of scoring. How ridiculous is it that things get quiter when the match is at its most exciting? :)

Hopefully they are banned before too much longer as it'll annoy the life out of me.
 
Game finished and noise was was exactly the same from the vevuzelas. It's just a constant drone which bears no relation to anything.
