My cooler is RMA so need something just for a week or two. I just need something cheap and the Intel cooler is very cheap. Just wanted to know if the Intel cooler will fit a skylake chip?

It should fit no problem. Also an older one should work fine - the one that came with my 2600K for example is a small low profile type thing and that CPU is rated for 95w TDP. The 6700K is rated for 91w TDP, so you should be fine with it.

Out of interest have they changed the stock cooler at all recently, or are the ones which come with the new 'Skylake' CPU's still the same?

I'm only using the intel stock cooler so I can RMA my corsair h105. Skylake doesn't come with a stock cooler any more. I bought one online last week for £3 and should come today.

Thanks... shows how long it is since I last bought a CPU! :)

Will probably go with a Corsair H60 anyway for my next Skylake build.
