Will the PAL PS3 play import games in NTSC?

Thinking of getting a PAL PS3 but wanted to know if it will play import games in NTSC or will it play all games in PAL regardless of region?

I know all of the games are region free but are they still NTSC & PAL or are all of the games identical format?.

PAL/NTSC only makes a difference if you are using rgb/scart or composite video to connect (SD). If you use HDMI or Component it makes no difference as far as I know. I have bought NTSC games and they work fine on my PS3 connected via HDMI.

okay thanks but will it play all games in PAL signal regardless of where the game come from or will NTSC games play in NTSC?
 
As said, it will only become a problem if you are using RGB/Scart. As far as I know a UK PS3 can't output NTSC, at least the ones I've used didn't have an option for 480i (NTSC), so in this case the game might not work. It would depend if the game supports 576i (PAL) or not.

If you do use RGB/Scart then there is probably little point in having a PS3 in the first place though :p

If you are using composite or HDMI at 720p or above it will be fine as these are neither PAL or NTSC.
