Will the real Opteron 165 owners pls stand up?

There seems to be a distinct lack of posts in this forum from people who own this dual core beauty... I know they are a tad tricky to obtain in the UK, but some of you must have them lurking in your stack of random pc bits!

What is the highest, stable overclock you have had with this CPU?

I've got a stable 2466MHz out of mine, running the maximum HTT an official Asrock bios allows (274), pondering on whether to try flashing to an ocworkbench bios and head towards 300...

I think its mainly cause OCuk doesnt sell them and unless youve been told about them and your overclocking potential then most people dont know about them.

We asked why they didnt have em in and if they get good enough feedback theyre going to see if they can get them in.

I personally am looking for a 170 as i would like to reach FX60 speeds

Have the same combo as you. Max's out at 270 HTT. Recently got a Biostar Tforce 939 which is running my 146 at 285 HTT. Havent swapped them over yet. Have still to try beta 2 - beta 1 was really unstable for me.

I've got one in a shuttle SN25P running at 2.5Ghz. Its hot little box though with an Ati 1800XL in there as well, CPU is 52 degrees under load.

Got one in an MSI NEO2 Plat at 2.6Ghz 289HTT 1.44v prime stable but it does get hot 53C under load on air and don't want to push it any further yet.

Should be moving it to my water setup when the warm weather arrives hopefully once the IHS is removed it might have a little more left in it.

I have got my 165 and Dual-SATA on order. The first thing I will do is flash to the beta1/2 bios so I would recommend you give it a try. There's also a easy enough volt-mod that doesn't require soldering which will give up 1.55v. I might try that if needs be but first I'll see how far 1.45 can get. Anything about 2.5Ghz will be nice.

Mines at 2.5 under default volts, the memory is at 2.7V however mines a Nforce4 board.

I do have a 146 in the micro-atx ASRock SiS chipset mb at 2.9Ghz though, at default volts and at 27 degress under load

I've got one, but waiting for some new memory & watercooling bits to arrive before spending time playing with it.
It's at 2.4 at the moment - default volts & retail heatsink, hopefully it'll go a fair bit higher
