I currently have a 7600gt.

Is there going to be a 8600gt in the future? I want DX10, but theres no way i'm spending more than £150 on a graphics card.

Surely there are going to be some budget DX10 cards though?

How can ordinary people migrate to DX10 at the current price?

Give it 18 months and you might be able to pick up an basic 8800 for around that price. The DX10 games will start to flow into the market as well ;)

yeah cause in 18 months the only place you'll be able to get 8800's is off a certain auction site and member market, plus why on earth would you want a 8800 in 18 months time, it'll be mega outdated by then

If there was a 8600GT...

How much video RAM do you rekon it would have? 256, 512?

What size PSU would it need?

How much do rekon it would cost? £150+?

Yeah the mid range G80's are coming around January, but if you want Dx10 then i wouldn't buy a Dx10 card for about a year+ yet, anyone who thinks Dx10 games are gona come flying out when Vista hits are living in cloud cuckoo land, be lucky to see 2 or 3 games in about a year that have Dx10 features, they are only gona run better on a Dx10 card anyway than a Dx9 one, if your expecting a major graphical change then oh dear, save your money and buy a Dx10 card when its worth having, which is about a year+ away as said. :)
