Will there be any 11th gen Pentium or I3 CPUs? Or what is comparable from AMD?

I know you can get a 10th gen one on the new B560 boards but I'm don't really need it so much.

I have a back up rig with a H170, Pentium G4560, 8 Gb Micron B die, and 2Gb Radeon 550 that I've been considering updating for about £150 for the mobo and CPU. The CPU still needs onboard graphics as I use it as a diagnostic bench when needed so no F series I3, I only got the 550 as I needed the Display Port 1.4 output.

I've seen Asrock B560 ITX boards for £95, that plus a £55-60 latest gen Pentium would do it, I'm not sure if AMD have anything around the £50-60 mark.

Being able to at least overclock the ram on the new B560 boards makes them a bit tempting as I've also been wanting to get a 2x16 Gb Samsung B die to play with, and it wouldn't cost much at all after selling the current lot.

You're looking at Intel for anything sub £100 that is worthwhile.

Its really difficult to give you advice on this forum with the strict "no competitor links, name or pricing" rules, i'm not that clued up with Intel these days, am i right in assuming LGA 1200 = B560? if so the most you will get for your money is a Pentium CPU, i have found a Intel® Pentium Gold G-6400 that might fit in your budget if you can find a B560 for £80 or stretch to another £15.

It says "compatible with 400 series motherboards, does that not also mean 500 series?

Can some Intel gurus please help out?

I had some feedback in the I5-11400 thread, basically the 11th gen Pentiums are just using 10th gen cores so I wont be bothering yet. Will wait for another gen or two.

B560 is S 1200 yes.
