Will this adapter work -USB3.0 to 2.0 header- ?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place

I only have one of the 9 pin USB 2.0 headers of my Motherboard but I need another one (one so I can hook up the front panel USB and one to use corsair Link with my H100i)

Would this (or one like it) work to allow me both connected at once?

to allow me to connect one of the devices to my spare 3.0 header (and if so which one would go to the adapter)?

It should but then you lose the USB 3 header.

Google 'NZXT IU01 Internal USB Expansion' - that will give you more and keep the USB 3 free

That's OK really. I've already got 2x usb 3 on front, but I've lost the 2x usb 2 if i use the corsair link (it's currently occupying the usb 2.0 header that I was using for the front USB ports)
