Ok so, i just randomly bought some stuff in hope it would work together, not been in the loop for about 4 years now and have no idea (Long live IDE/SATA1)

I have bought the following;

Asrock Socket AM3+ 970 Extreme4 5200MT/S Motherboard

AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor (4.0/4.2GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 8MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 125W, Retail Boxed)

Gigabyte R9 280X 3072 MB GDDR5 OC PCI-E 3.0 384 Bit Dual Link DVI-I HDMI DisplayPort ATX

In Win GRone E-ATX Full Tower Transparent Side Gaming Case -White (Pretty big, i'll see if my H80 fits, if not just use a fan, shouldn't have issues here)

Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21000C11 2666MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U26661104G-2CI) - Blue Light

Having some troubles getting the GFX shipped but it was cheaper than anywhere else. I'm considering swapping the motherboard out for a Sabertooth instead, unsure on what to do, bit of advice would be nice.

Should work fine, as long as your psu is powerful enough i don't think you'll run into issues. H80 should also fit fine, so you wont need to worry about ram clearance issues :)

The Avexir is the coolest thing since sliced bread in my opinion, i went all magpie when i was shown it!

I went for the Extream4 due to the colour scheme but i get the feeling the Saber might be a better option? I'm also open to other options as the Extream4 has still yet to be shipped, don't mind spending an extra penny for something that would benefit me. One day i'll do a custome loop when i'm sure i wont drown myself and my hardware together!

Choaski could remove the the price difference and name from the last bit of your post please :)

Got a 1250WATT thing, prob by corsair no doubt, sadly, not modular =[ - I'll put my H80 in as long as there is enough room, going by what Adam said, it should just drop in fine.

Deffo dump the extreme 4. Asrock and MSI have pretty poor reps when it comes to exploding VRMs when pairing the boards with fx 8xxx chips.

Sabertooth would be a hell of an improvement and will let you get a decent clock rather than throttle at a little more than stock speeds. A cheaper in-between alternative is the Asus 970 Evo.

That's very helpfull Avenged, i'm not too worried about the price difference really, it's more of the fact that the Sabertooth is ugly as hell :D. I'll definatly ditch the Extream4 then on your recommendation so i'll be coming to ya when it's all going wrong!
