Hi all, upgraded recently to a Q9550 / Blackops X48 motherboard, but the pc wont boot because i need to flash the bios to the latest, rather then faffing on with RMA's and whatnot i figured i could buy a cheap Skt775 cpu, boot into windows and flash it.
i cant link to the site ive seen the cpu, but its:
Intel® Pentium® 4 HT CPU SOCKET 775 3.0GHz/2/800 CPU
i can get it for around £12, just wanted to know if old cpu's like this would boot ok, im sure they will been the same socket and all, need a 2nd opinion.
or there was also: Intel Celeron E1500 Dual Core which i can get new for £36.95 - with a cheap duo like this i could use for a basic pc build
Cheers
