Hello guys I use my old mans Sky Go account a lot and I'm forever hooking up my laptop to the tv. So to save time I have a friend who has a few spare Lenovo Tiny M72e. They are really outdated but he said I can have a couple at £40 a piece. They look tidy about the size of a dvd player so ideal really but is the spec ok.

Intel Pentium G640T 2.40 GHz
4 GB RAM
Drevo 60GB SSD

HD Content on Sky Go, Netflix and Youtube streaming.

This is what they look like

Yeah I had one for the same reason, they make decent little HTPCs. Could do 1080p netflix no problem. I had 8gb RAM in mine though, so It was dual channel. Should be nice and snappy with an SSD. I'd replace the thermal paste though - got much better temps after I did.

Also, if you intend to use it for steam in-home streaming: forget it. It gets too hot, and after about 15-20 mins the CPU thermal throttles and it becomes a stuttery mess.

You'll need a display-port to HDMI cable though, as they don't have an HDMI port. I picked one up for a fiver on that auction site.

Sounds good pal. Did you have the same processor?

I think it was the model with the G645t, which was 2.5ghz I believe, so not much in it. One thing though, I did try swapping the wireless module out with a much better model I pulled from a broken laptop at work - It turns out Lenovo have some sort of feature in the BIOS that will only allow the original/approved module to be installed; after a quick Google, it's something to do with the radio wave laws or some rubbish in China or somewhere, but they didn't disable it for their European release. It's a big beef with a lot of their laptop customers too, apparently.
