Hi all,

I've put down a deposit for a 2013 Mitsubishi Mirage 3 1.2L, however the dealer (Mitsubishi) had it up as a Mirage 1 1.0L, not sure why, its very obviously a Mirage 3 as it has keyless entry, stop start, front/rear parking sensors and alloys, all things standard on a mirage 3 but not a mirage 1, and not to mention the badge on the rear stating its a Mirage 3.

It seems it was registered as a Mirage 1 1.0L and apparently all Mirage 3's was registered as such and when I type the reg into sites it comes back as a Mirage 1 1.0L. Is this likely to be a serious problem? For example car insurance? I'm personally not that bothered, I know it's a mirage 3, but if its going to cause any issues in the future then I'd rather get Mitsubishi to sort it now, all they've said so far is there going to go to Mitsubishi HQ and enquire, we've agreed I can get my deposit back if I choose if they don't correct it.

What do people think?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I'm most worried about insurance, I don't think tax will be an issue at present, both models are under the limit to pay any tax.

I only briefly saw the V5 but I think it just stated Mirage 1.0L 5dr, but it's a 1.2L.

Bit of an aside but save yourself from this car - I had the misfortune of being given one as a courtesy car and it's one of the worst small cars i've driven in a long, long time.

I can appreciate that, I test drove a Volkswagen Up, Skoda Citigo, Kia Rio and a Fiat 500 (wife's looking for a new car also) and there all better, however I'm happy enough with it for what I'll be doing in it and its in really good condition and I got a really really good deal, I'm also coming from a 2001 Renault Clio on its last legs so almost anything will be an upgrade.

I've asked Mitsubishi to sort and stated I won't be buying without it being fixed.
