Right I don't need the best GPU & CPU so I've decided to go cheap with them as I'll be getting penryn or Nehalem when they come out (I'll try to get Nehalem but if my rig can't handle it then ill go with penryn). And will be waiting for the next top end GFX cards from Nvidia.

I would like to keep Dell 2407FWP or something that's as good as it.

I don't have a budget yet because I'm keeping on getting more money every day, well try not to go over the cost of this -

Also if you think that's good enough then is it all compatible?

Looks fine and is all compatible although PC8500 might be overkill, PC6400 should still be enough to allow a good overclock although I guess at the price it hardly matter much.

Yeah I don't think ill be OC'ing but if I feel my rig is starting to get old and don't have the money at the time then ill think about it.

What games do you think will fail to play on that spec? Hopefully none but just so I know.

The graphics card isn't DX10 compliant so anything that explicitly requires DX10 will fail (one or two games at max currently) but other than that pretty much everything should play although some games may need detail levels turned down a little. :)

Thanks, that kind of stuff I wanted to get clear but it's very easy to turn down the details so that will do until the next big card comes out, does anyone know an estimate time of release?

I would go for the non HC dell.

There is a problem with ghosting on the HC version (see the monitors section for details)

OK ill have a look, the only reason I put it down was that it was only £6 more than the original.

If you can try getting a bigger hdd ie the samsung 16mb cache drives, performance is just fantastic and better if you raid them.

I think I will need more hdd space yes, but what do you mean by raid? I've heard it before but don't actually know what it does.

Looks pretty bad in that video, but I think ill take the risk and once Dell get the A01's out then Ill send it to Dell for a replacement.(only if there's some kind of ghosting to see)

Edit - so with the RAID, is it possible to get 2 drives, 1 that I use and the other an exact copy? Then ill buy another two drives and do the same as the 2 I'd have already?
