Ive never tried an overclock, I don't have much time either (3kids), plus I don't want to melt away money that im short of :)

If I buy the overclocked bundle, does that travel with everything plugged into the mobo? also im not sure if my psu is too old?

GPU won't be plugged in and likely the CPU cooler won't either, in which case it's possible the CPU won't be in the socket, rather back in it's protective box :p It's so easy building and moderately overclocking modern systems, your kids could do it for you!*

The forum is fairly quite at this hour of the morning, wait til the dossers are out of bed and I'm sure some more advice hardware wise will trickle in. DIY it, save a few quid, feel better as you bought the very best gear for your budget :D

*do not let them do this

In short, no it wont be rubbish, one thing that I wonder though, do you really need a Windows 8 license? ...don't you already have Windows 7, or is it an OEM copy?

What is your budget for this, what you spec'd originally wasn't rubbish and would handle next gen games at a moderate level.

Tweaking the budget to around £800 will get you a decent setup, that looks pretty and does the job!

i dont want to go much above the 600 mark. if i went for the overclocked bundle what happends when the ram dies after the warranty, can the mobo be reset back to default? and will it be a lot noisier?

Well RAM has lifetime warranty, or 99% of RAM is covered by lifetime warranty, however If it does stop working you can just RMA it.

You can reset the overclock on the motherboard if you wish too.

RAM won't affect the noise levels and removing the overclock won't affect the noise, but may reduce the temperatures.

Would you be looking at a bundle specifically, or would you build it yourself?
