Will this car run on Biodiesel

Ford Fiesta 51 reg 1.8 TD a mate of mine said that there were 2 types of engine put into these cars one made by Isuzu and the other Fords own .. I dont know if this is correct but how can I find out what type of engine this car has and if it can accept Biodiesel

Don't know about biodiesel, but there is only 1 engine, made by ford.
Electricl fuel pump, direct injection not commonrail...someone like SB118 would know about the biofuel I guess

AFAIK proper biodiesel is fine for virtually all mechanicaly injected systems, it's vegetable oil which causes the problems with some of them

Biodiesel is fine in pretty much any diesel engine.

Vegoil needs a mechanical pump, preferably a Bosch. You can use veg in a Lucas, but only in very weak mixture with pump diesel.

If its good quality biodiesel it will be fine.
