Hi Guys
ok this is a picture of my mates case .now please dont be thinking its mine or anything like that .coz i mean its just scruffy looking and my case would never look this untidy .ok so what i want to know is . i mean my mate wants to know is can he fit some watercooling gear in this case .

Yes, you can fit wc in any case, it just depends how much modding you're willing to do.

It doesn't look like it has ANY 120mm fan mounts to me, so you'll either have to cut a hole for a new fan and the radiator (probably best in the top of the case) or buy a radiator with a "Rad box" which mounts outside the back of the case altogether. Using a radbox would require you to cut holes for tubing however, so I'd just go for internal mounting by cutting an extra fan hole in the top.

As for fitting the pump in, it looks easily big enough to just chuck it on the bottom with some padding.

Thanks for that
could a rad just stand at the back of a pc ? like leaning up agains the wall .or would that not work .how far from the pc can a rad be .

Easy to fit WC in there.

I'd say get either a rabbox or a rad+fan and externally mount it to either the rear plate after removing those blue 80mms or mount it on the top of the case and bore two water pipe holes in the case. Externally mounting the rad in my opinion (and it's not a very valid one - I have air cooling :P) is the better way to go as it'll be slightly cooler than internally mounting due to the ambient heat in the case being a little higher than that of the room it'self.

If he got a resvervator rad (or something...Zalman/Thermaltake I think) that could quite happilt sit on his desk/floor as it's an external unit.

You could just stand the rad at the back, but your expansion cards would be very in the way...

If you mean externally then yeah, that's fine you can just lean it up against it but what if you knock it? The idea behind a radbox is that it's an adaptor for cases that only have 80 or 92mm fan mounts. The rad and a 120mm fan are mounted onto this adaptor which is then attached to the 80mm mount on the case.

Not a very good picture but you should be able to work it out.

Thanks for the pic Zefan .how far dose that rad box stick off the back of the case

The gap between the case and the box is about an inch. The box itself is about 3 inches deep so I'd say it sticks out about 4 inches in total.

where my pc is at the moment is under my desk and it fits into one of them slot thing .but if i had that rad box on the back like in the pic i dont think i could push my case right back .as the rad box would be up agains the wall

Then mounting internally is the only option (or out the top of your case without a radbox), I'm not sure exactly how you'd go about doing that I'm afraid.

:( its never easy is it :D ok. could the rad just sit on top of the case i mean no one could see it .so it wont look out of place

To be honest I'd look around lots and lots before deciding where to stick components in your waterloop because it can be a lot of hassle if you get it wrong.

Google around, I've found about a million different build logs on forums which are full of hints etc.

This is a good example of what it'd look like if you stuck it on top, not too ugly really.
