Will this cooler surfice?

First let me say hello to everyone as this is my first post. Hello.
Now the real reason, I have just upgraded my system to an intel E8400 from an Amd X2 4200 and have started to build a HTPC with the left overs but the freezer pro cpu cooler (939) will not fit in the new case. The only cpu cooler I have to hand that fits was from a Amd 3700 San Diago will this be enough to cool the X2 4200 or do I have buy a new cooler.

If it fits id imagine it`ll be fine,give it a go and see what the temps are like.

Suppose for a HTPC, but i personally wouldn't for normal use for the sake of like £10.
